My friend BJ rode a tandem bike from the pacific ocean to the atlantic ocean a few summer's back. He rode solo on that bike for two for his friend Stephen who died of Cystic Fibrosis. I love to read about a good long distance trek so I thought I'd link to this one. While it's most certainly much less noble than my friends journey it's still interesting.
This guy is trying to cover the AT in less time than anyone else.
